Coordinators of Residential Supports:

At Walnut Street Center, Inc., we are committed to the idea that quality of life begins in the home. We believe that providing a safe, comfortable home that promotes dignity and independence as well as integration within the surrounding community is central to the quality of life of the individuals we serve.

The Walnut Street Center, Inc. provides residential supports to many adults who have developmental disabilities in the communities of Somerville, Cambridge and Arlington. Our services include temporary respite supports, semi- independent apartments, twenty-four-hour support residential homes and specialized care units.

The Walnut Street Center is recognized as a leader among human service agencies in pioneering residential supports for adults who have developmental disabilities. Over the years, we have provided compassionate, quality, residential services that promote meaningful living.

We were among the first human service agencies to offer specialized care for adults who have both developmental disabilities and Alzheimer's disease. The Alzheimer's specialized units are committed to meet the changing physical, medical, social, and behavioral needs of the residents in a manner that fosters dignity and compassion throughout the progression of the disease
